Report from the Most Reverend Dr Vivianne Crowley, Lyceum
Of Belisama and Grove of Ana
I am delighted to announce that Lady Olivia has inaugurated two new Fellowship of Isis groups in France – the Lyceum of Belisama and the Druid Grove of Ana. Both groups are based in Brittany, France’s Celtic north-west.
Belisama was worshiped by the ancient Gauls and in northern Italy. She is the ‘Most Powerful One’ and was associated in the Roman era with Minerva. Ana is the Mother Goddess of Brittany. She was incorporated into Breton Christian tradition as the Mother of Mary and therefore grandmother of Jesus. Hers is the largest religious festival in Brittany.
The Lyceum will provide training in the Isian priesthood for men and women seeking ordination in France. The Druid Grove will hold seasonal celebrations for those on the Druid path.
Olivia chartered the Lyceum on 15 August 2011. This was followed by a ceremony at Clonegal Castle on 12 November 2011, where I was deeply honoured to be presented by Olivia’s niece Cressida Pryor and initiated as an Archdruidess of the Druid Clan of Dana by Olivia and ordained as a Priestess of Belisama.
The November day was bathed in golden sunshine as we processed from the Castle courtyard to the Old Abbey for invocations to invoke the energies of the Goddess in Nature. We then proceeded to the Castle Temple for the initiation and ordination, followed by a seasonal celebration. The same golden light permeated the indoor ceremonies, until a wonderful pure blue healing energy made itself felt, entwining itself with the gold as Isis, Belisama and Ana manifested their energies.
In December, we are holding a ceremony in our stone circle in Brittany to root the energies of the FOI in Breton soil. We are also planning a small gathering in France for summer 2012. Anyone wishing to participate is invited to contact the Lyceum and Grove through viviannecrowley@gmail.com

J’ai le plaisir d’annoncer que Dame Olivia a inauguré, en France, deux nouveaux groupes affiliés à la Fellowship d’Isis – le Lyceum de Belisama et le Cercle Druidique du Bosquet Sacré d’Ana. Ces deux groupes ont été fondés en Bretagne.
Belisama était vénérée par les anciens Gaulois ainsi que dans le nord de l’Italie. Nommée “la Plus Puissante”, elle était associée du temps des Romains à Minerve. Ana est la Déesse Mère, patronne de la Bretagne. Elle fut intégrée à la tradition chrétienne bretonne en tant que Mère de la Vierge Marie, et donc grand-mère de Jésus. Sa fête donne lieu au plus important pèlerinage religieux de Bretagne.
Le Lyceum sera consacré à la prêtrise d’Isis, offrant une formation sacerdotale aux hommes et femmes souhaitant être ordonnés en France. Le Cercle Druidique organisera les fêtes saisonnières pour ceux suivant le chemin druidique.
Dame Olivia a constitué le Lyceum le 15 août 2011. Cette événement fut suivi par une cérémonie en Irlande au Château de Clonegal le 12 novembre 2011, où j’eu le grand honneur d’être présentée par la nièce d’Olivia, Cressida Pryor, et initiée Archidruidesse du Clan Druidique de Dana par Olivia et ordonnée Prêtresse de Belisama.
Ce jour de novembre fut baigné de soleil, accompagnant notre procession de la court du Château à l’Ancienne Abbaye où nous nous rendions pour invoquer les énergies de la Déesse en la Nature. Nous nous sommes ensuite dirigés vers le temple du Château pour l’initiation et l’ordination, qui furent suivies par une fête saisonnière. La même lumière dorée baigna les cérémonies organisées en intérieur, jusqu’à ce qu’une merveilleuse énergie guérissante d’un bleu pur se fit ressentir, se mélangeant à l’or, alors qu’Isis, Belisama et Ana manifestaient leurs énergies.
En décembre, nous avons organisé une cérémonie au sein de notre cercle de pierres levées en Bretagne pour enraciner les énergies de la Fellowship d’Isis dans le sol Breton. Nous envisageons également un petit rassemblement en France pour l’été 2012. Isian News Issue no. 142, Samhain, 2011
Isian News issue no. 142 for Samhain 2011, has just been published online. Isian News is the official Fellowship of Isis publication created by Olivia Robertson and her brother Lawrence Durdin-Robertson in the summer of 1976. It has been published quarterly ever since. There are some wonderful offerings in this issue, lots of news, beautiful cover art by Olivia, titled "The Blue Heaven" and a new ritual format Olivia has never done before, a ritual in two parts, "The Narration" and "The Revelation." Blessings of the Season!

Two Important Announcements from Olivia Robertson
Greetings Everyone!
Two important announcements from Olivia Robertson regarding the work of teaching centres (Iseums, Lyceums, Groves, Priories) within the Fellowship of Isis:
There are those who founded teaching centres within the Fellowship of Isis before coursework, guidelines and regulations were implemented. In those years between their founding and the production of guidelines, regulations and courses, these centres have brought through others, who have founded their own centres, and in turn, teach in the same format. The question arose - are they valid? ALL training courses are valid. ALL centres have autonomy. Regulations and procedures are provided as guidelines, they are meant as suggestions. The ONLY basic requirements are teaching centres base their work on the F.O.I. Manifesto and the F.O.I. Liturgy. The Candidate using rites suggested in the coursework most helpful to his or her own chosen Path. The College of Isis being the exception, as guidelines were laid out upon the revival of the College as inspired by Isis.

When members founded Lyceums, Iseums, Groves and Priories they did so in the understanding that their work, based on the F.O.I. Manifesto, had validity!
Since 1976 there have been many lists of requirements and regulations for the courses of various centres. However, the requirement for acceptance of the Manifesto is the only basic necessity to unite us all. Regulations multiply which is the usual order of Societies! As Lawrence Durdin-Robertson was wont to remind us: “In the beginning of Christianity, all members were called Saints. Now you need to have performed two miracles and to be dead to qualify!”
The time has come to be free from secrecy, binding vows and inflexible rules! Any coursework should be available to all sincere seekers. This is essential to preserve the ethical validity required by the Goddess Isis of Truth for her Fellowship.

It's almost that time again! Members will be meeting at Isis Oasis in Geyserville, California for the annual FOI Convocation. Loreon Vigne has been hostess of this event annually since 1990.FOI Co-Founder Olivia Robertson will be present. Olivia will offer a guided meditation on Friday evening and will officiate the ordinations and consecrations on Sunday.

An Important Anniversary inFOI History

In 1990 the first world conventions/convocations for the Fellowship of Isis took place. The first was organized by Caroline Wise, held in London. Shortly afterward, the first Convocation of the Fellowship of Isis hosted by the Temple of Isis in Geyserville took place at Isis Oasis. This event was organized by Loreon Vigne.

Fellowship of Isis Registration Privacy
Dated 3rd September, 2011
Because of the need for privacy, all FOI registrations and Centres will be kept at Clonegal Castle and not be published. Those Centres and Members who wish to publish their activities and ceremonies are welcome to do so, on Fellowship of Isis Websites. Cressida Pryor will not publish any material sent to her. When my brother and I published Isian News originally, it was for Members only and we were careful not to print any private names or addresses. Now with the World Wide Web, the FOI still respects and maintains the privacy of each member and their Centres. Each individual answers to their own conscience and no-one else.

Ordinations and Initiations
FOI Co-Founder Olivia Robertson has sent a wonderful account of how she and her brother Lawrence prepared candidates for ordination and initiation. It begins: "A Priestess of Isis here in Avalon, Celia, asked me how my brother and I prepared candidates for Ordination and other Initiations.
Our essential aim for any Candidate was to receive direct revelation of the real existence of the Goddess. This we achieved through the Candidate developing psychic and spiritual awakening through trance experience and dream interpretation. ..."

I am so happy that my niece Cressida Pryor is my successor in the spiritual and ethical work of the Fellowship of Isis. We need one single centre for registration of membership and centres (Lyceums, Iseums, Priories and Groves) which should be Clonegal Castle. Cressida has offered to be the custodian. Members may register with her and must sign that they agree to the Manifesto. No member has the right to control another. There are no subscription fees, membership will always continue to be free. I feel my brother is with me as the Fellowship of Isis goes back to basics. Cressida is the niece of my brother Lawrence Durdin-Robertson and Pamela Durdin-Robertson.

Two New Entries from Juno Covella
Goddesses of Dusk, Evening and Twilight from Juno Covella is now available on FOI Central. It is accompanied by a previously unpublished drawing by Olivia Robertson titled "The Goddess Guides".
Goddesses of Midnight from Juno Covella has also been uploaded and features another previously unpublished drawing by Olivia titled "Veil of the Oracle". It’s always exciting to share pieces of Olivia's art! These pieces beautifully compliment her brother Lawrence's work. We hope you enjoy these new additions to the site!

New on FOI Central
Goddesses from January - December, their Lore, Days and Festivals, from 'Section III. The Fixed Calendar' in "Juno Covella", by Lawrence Durdin-Robertson. The text, totaling 183 pages in word processor files, has been painstakingly typed from the text in the book, with notations, spelling and content true to the original as published by Lawrence through his private press, Cesara Publications. This content has been uploaded to the site by request of FOI Co-Founder Olivia Robertson and by permission of Lawrence’s heirs. It has taken many hours to complete and upload. This is the first time a hand typed and proofed version of this text has been made available online.

New Pages on FOI Central
There are two new pages on the Navigation Bar of Fellowship of Isis Central. One is titled "Lawrence Durdin-Robertson". This page lists a series of links to works by Lawrence and some articles written about him in his honour. The other new page, with the same format as the one for Lawrence, is titled "Olivia Robertson" with a series of links to articles, letters and art, and transcripts from some of her guided journeys given during the FOI Convocation at Isis Oasis in Geyserville, CA. The new pages for Olivia and for Lawrence are located near the top of the Navigation Bar of the site.

The Divine Goddess Eka-Eyen
Rev. Vincent Akpabio of the Lyceum of the Aquarian Isis in Kano, Nigeria, sent a handwritten report of the re-emergence of the Goddess Eka-Eyen in Nigeria. The contents of his letter have been carefully transcribed and are true to the original. His account of the Goddess Eka-Eyen is included on Fellowship of Isis Central, in the FOI History Archive at his request.

Now that the season for Guided Tours of the Castle and Grounds is open for the summer months of June, July and August, I would be grateful if you would make it clear under FAQ's that general questions regarding visits to Huntington Castle for Guided Tours of the Castle and Grounds, and non-FOI events such as concerts etc., should be addressed to www.huntingtoncastle.com
Members wishing to come to one of our Fellowship Festivals at Huntington should continue to contact hon.sec.circleofbrigid@gmail.com for an invitation. It should be noted that these Festivals are private events and are not advertised on-line anywhere. The Castle is a private home and is not open to the public except for advertised events.

“The Cult of the Goddess” a lecture by Lawrence Durdin-Robertson
Originally included on Fellowship of Isis Central in 2010 as an excerpt, the entry has been updated to include the entire text, the introduction by Nicola Gordon Bowe and the two versions of the cover of this work. It was issued through Cesara Publications twice under the original title "The Cult of the Goddess" and a third time as "The Religion of the Goddess".We have also included interior illustrations, list of Errata, two scans of the title page of both "The Cult of the Goddess" (second edition, 1978) and "The Religion of the Goddess" (third edition, 1982) with handwritten dedications by the author, FOI Co-Founder Lawrence Durdin-Robertson.
The first edition (1975) and second edition (1978), both issued with the title "The Cult of the Goddess" featured the same cover. The first edition is slightly larger. The first edition is printed with brown ink on tan paper. The second is on off-white paper with black ink.
The third edition (1982), under the title "The Religion of the Goddess" has a dark gold cover featuring a drawing by Olivia Robertson. The interior is white paper printed with black ink. On the inside of the front cover of this edition is the following description of Olivia's design:
"The Cover design, by Olivia Robertson, represents the Goddess sitting on the Holy Table. It is based on the High Altar of the Temple of Isis, Clonegal Castle." We hope you enjoy viewing items from all three of the editions of this book issued by Cesara Publications. Cesara was the personal press of FOI Co-Founders Lawrence Durdin-Robertson and Olivia Durdin-Robertson.

The Original Website of Isis of the Stars Lyceum
Here is a link to the wayback machine/internet archive which displays a page from the Isis of the Stars website, created by Starsheen. Olivia said that Starsheen's website brought more people to the Fellowship of Isis at that time, then had joined through any other venue previously. Starsheen's lyceum website was the first FOI related site on the internet. It was published in 1994.

The Original FOI Central Site - London
Here is a bit of FOI History, a link to the Internet Archive, which shows the original FOI Central Site, that was first produced by FOI members in London. The first FOI Central Site went online in 1995. This site remained the one and only central site until 1999.
The Fellowship of IsisThe site seems simplistic by our standards today, but one has to remember back then, everything had to be painstakingly programmed by hand, one pixel at a time.
